About the Author
Hello and welcome!
I am Biswarup Chatterjee, a passionate researcher and academic enthusiast deeply engaged in the fields of archaeology, epigraphy, and history. My academic journey has been driven by a constant curiosity to explore the cultural, intellectual, and historical heritage of ancient India.
With a special interest in Sanskrit studies and inscriptional sources, I focus on uncovering the hidden narratives embedded in temples, copper plates, and other epigraphic materials. My work primarily revolves around the rich and yet underexplored heritage of North Bengal, particularly the historical landscape of Cooch Behar and the Koch kingdom.
Through this blog, I aim to bridge the gap between academic research and general readers. I try to present complex historical and archaeological ideas in a simple, engaging, and accessible manner, so that students, researchers, and history enthusiasts can connect with the past more meaningfully.
This platform is not just a collection of articles, but a continuous journey of rediscovering lost knowledge, local traditions, folk beliefs, and the layered cultural identities that shape our present.
I strongly believe that history is not only found in grand monuments but also in local temples, village traditions, and everyday cultural practices. By documenting and interpreting these elements, I aspire to contribute to a broader understanding of India’s diverse heritage.
Thank you for being a part of this journey.
